Login Instructions

Getting started watching a live auction at www.lmaauctions.com is a simple process, just follow the instructions below.

• Dial-up Viewers

Dial-up connection speeds can not handle the streaming video so dial-up viewers will not be able to watch an auction and will not need to register. Viewers can listen to an auction by clicking on the drop down box on the LMAAuctions.com website to see the full list of markets as shown in the pictured example.

Troubleshooting Dial-up
If you do not hear audio:
1. Click here to see if you hear sound.
2. Make sure your speakers are on.
3. Make sure your speakers are not muted.
4. Be sure that your computer has a sound card to hear audio.
5. The market may not be broadcasting or is finished broadcasting.
6. Your connection speed could be too slow to handle the streaming audio.


• High Speed Viewers
1. First Time Visitors
   1. Log onto www.lmaauctions.com.
   2. If you are watching for the first time you will need to register.
   3. Click on "Register for a Free Viewer Account".
   4. Enter your registration information. Click the sample registration below to view a larger image of it.
      
   5. You will automatically be redirected back to the www.lmaauctions.com main page.
   6. Click on the market you would like to view.
   7. Type in your new Username & Password and click on the Login button.
   8. You will then be directed to that market's auction.
   9. A buyer’s registration screen will come up over the auction site. If you want to bid, please fill out all the information requested. If you want to just view the auction, click on the X in the top right corner of the buyer registration window.
   
   
2. Already Registered
   1. Log in anytime at www.lmaauctions.com to watch a live sale. The sale schedules will be listed on the website.
   2. Click on the market you would like to view.
   3. Type in your Username & Password and click on the Login button.
   4. You will then be directed to that market's auction.
   5. A buyer's registration screen will come up over the auction site. If you want to bid, please fill out all the information requested. If you want to just view the auction, click on the X in the top right corner of the buyer registration window.
   
   
3. Switching Between Sales
   1. Just below the sale picture is the text “View all Auctions” clicking on this text will bring up a list of all the sales. Simply select a market from the list and you will be automatically redirected to their sale.
   2. You may also click on “View Auctions” located just below your user name and buyer number in the upper right corner of the screen.
   3. You may move back and forth between all of the sales by using either method.
   
   
4. Buyer’s Registration
   1. Every time you log in to watch an auction, a box will pop up on your screen asking if you like to register for a buyer's number.
   2. To register as a bidder you must provide LMAauctions.com the following information.
      
      1. Bank Reference: (your local bank’s name)
      2. Bank City: (the city your bank resides in)
      3. Bank State: (the state your bank resides in)
      4. Bank Contact Name: (the person who handles your accounts at your bank)
      5. Bank Phone Number: (the phone number of your bank where your accounts are)
      6. Click on the “Register for Buyer Number” button at the bottom of the window.
      7. To help expedite your registration process, LMAauctions.com suggests contacting your bank.
      8. Your information will be sent to the market and the Livestock Marketing Association Livestock Board of Trade for approval.
   3. LMAauctions.com will not accept your personal name or phone number for the banking information.
   4. You can also register at anytime by clicking on “Register for a Buyer Number!” just below the auction picture in the center of the screen.
   5. Each auction has sole discretion for approval of buyers and the assignment of buyer’s numbers.
   6. All purchases are binding contracts between the livestock auction and the buyer.
   7. Buyers should make arrangements with the livestock auction for payment and transportation prior to purchase.
   8. If you would like to watch the auction(s) without registering to bid, simply click on the X at the top right corner of the pop up box or the "No Thanks" button at the bottom of the pop up box. You can watch any of the auctions without registering to bid.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Why can I not register on a dial-up connection?
  Dial-up connection speeds can not handle the streaming video so dial-up viewers will not be able to watch an auction and will not need to register. Viewers can listen to an auction by clicking on the drop down box on the LMAAuctions.com website to see the full list of markets as shown in the pictured example above.



• Why can I only see a 2 inch video?
  Type your username and password into the login box to the right of that video thumbnail. It will log you into the auction for a larger video.



• I'm already registered, why can I not login?
  Delete out everything that is typed in the username and password box and uncheck "Remember Me". Reclick on the market you want to view and retype your username and password. If it still won't let you log in, please call the LMA office at 800/821-2048.



• When I try to register, I keep getting a message saying that my email address has already been used by someone else. Can you help me?
  Email addresses can only be used once. You may have already registered for a viewer account. Click here to request your username and password or under the login box, click on the "Send me my Password" link.



• How can I bid?
     You will need to register for a buyer’s number at each auction market. LMAAuctions.com does not do a blanket approval as each auction market approves their own buyers. Also, not all auction markets take online bids. Please contact the market to resolve any questions about bidding.
     To register for a number, a window should open once you login to an auction market, if it does not, click on the “Register for a Buyer Number!” in the middle of the page. It will be right below where the video first shows up.
     Once you fill out the buyer’s registration form (Bank Reference, Bank City, Bank State, Bank Contact and Bank Phone Number), the Livestock Board of Trade will do a credit inquiry from the information that you provide. To expedite this process, it is suggested that you contact your bank to give them approval to release your information.
     While waiting for approval, you will see “Pending Approval” next to Buyer Number right below your name in the top right corner. Once you are approved, the “Pending Approval” will change to a number.
